Part 1: Sharing Probletunity

The role of MindingMaslowsMystery.com is to publish a series of installments, eventually to be book chapters for a monograph with the title, Minding Maslow’s Mystery. The book to accumulate here will help to show how a failure to maintain Maslow’s full context continues to deny his theory its most evocative, provocative, problem-posing, and opportunity-setting powers.

As the term is used here, probletunity represents the opportunity or opportunities residing on the far side of a problem or problem set. Massive probletunity begins with a great or well-built problem. And a really good problem or problem set, if resolved, has the potential to yield magnificent opportunity. The beginning of that process is to recognize and/or identify good problems to work on.

Part 1 of Minding Maslow’s Mystery is called “Sharing Probletunity,” and it is the attempt to share recognition of Maslow’s framing for a key range of probletunity. This aspect of the overall effort is presently slated to occupy 11 chapters, though this may change as I move along through the work.

Part 2, “Attempting Progress” is the anticipated effort to make progress on the probletunity shared in Part 1. Part 2 should follow shortly after.

The website directory will essentially be a table of contents, accruing as additional chapters are posted. The current intent is to post two or three chapters at a time, at an approximate rate of one posting every two to four months, anticipating a total of 18 to 20 chapters. The intent is to eventually post all the text here at the website, then reconfigure that content for use as an eBook on various reader platforms, as an audio book, and also a print-on-demand book.

Time, effort, and readers’ responses in the meantime will have more to suggest about various publishing options.

I hope you find the effort valuable and thank you for joining along. Please subscribe to receive email notices as chapters are completed and added to the website. Registered email addresses may unsubscribe at any time and are not shared, rented, or sold.
